Janet Schultz Mroz graduated in 1986 from the University of Illinois Chicago Medical Center with a BS in Occupational Therapy. She also became a licensed Massage Therapist in 2004 as well as a certified Pediatric Neuro-Developmental therapist.
Janet strives to continue to learn different approaches often training at the Upledger Institute in Florida, the Integrative Manual Therapy School in Connecticut, and the Chikly Institute.
Janet has taken extensive courses in Craniosacral Therapy, Integrative Manual Therapy, Gillespie Approach to Craniosacral Fascial Therapy, MFR John Barnes, Chikly Institute, and Reflex Integration. Janet has studied with the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy and TOTs to expand her knowledge and training in tethered oral tissues. She has been certified in Sensory Integration and Kinesio tape application. Janet has worked at Lutheran General Hospital, Easter Seals DuPage Fox Valley Region and privately as a State of Illinois Early Intervention Practitioner.
Her work experience has always focused on the pediatric population; many times following these children into adulthood.
Through Janet's experience, she has treated individuals with a multitude of diagnoses as well as abilities. These diagnoses have included such things as Cerebral-Palsy, Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism, Torticollis, Plagiocephaly, Developmental Disorders, Tethered Oral Tissue and various Chromosomal Abnormalities.
